Often times in the networking marketing industry, new distributors are led to believe that they must say “the right things” in order to build a successful organization and profit substantially. Do you really believe this is true? If you have been in this industry for any length of time, you have realized that networking marketing is largely a “numbers game”. No matter how fantastic your particular opportunity may be, it will not be a good fit for every person in every situation. Success in network marketing comes when you consistently connect with the kind of people who are looking for what you have to offer. It has been said time and time again that you really can’t say the “wrong thing” to the “right person”. I can tell you from years of experience that this is absolutely true.

So instead of focusing on what to say to a particular prospect, let’s take a look at some things that you should DO for prospects.

Show integrity: As a networker, you are a businessperson. Since this is the case, you want to always demonstrate high character and honesty in your business. If you say that you will do something, just do it, and do it when you say that you will (you will be surprised how this one simple thing will make you stand out from the crowd). If you agree to send a prospect additional information about your opportunity at a certain day and time, make sure that you do. If you agree to meet a prospect at an opportunity meeting at a certain day and time, make sure you do. Not only will you build much better relationships with potential business partners, you will indirectly encourage your prospects and business partners to treat you the same way. Showing others that their time is important will lead to your time being respected much more.

Be Enthusiastic: Enthusiasm is contagious. I don’t know why it is, it just is. If you are not continuously excited to be doing what you are doing, I would respectfully suggest that you start doing something that gets you excited. When prospecting, deliver your message with passion and enthusiasm. How you talk about your opportunity is much more important than what you say about it. There are so many people around that do not enjoy what they are doing, that the mere fact that you actually do enjoy what you are doing will probably get them asking questions, which is a great thing.

Be Consistent: Prospecting as a network marketer will ultimately have its ups and downs. In the course of your prospecting, there will be times when it seems like everyone that you come across wants to know more about your opportunity. There will also be times when lead after lead will be uninterested. It’s these down times that cause many networkers to become frustrated and stop their prospecting efforts. In actuality, it’s these downtimes that should throw your prospecting efforts into overdrive!!! Consistent prospecting will lead to consistent results. Set prospecting goals every month to target a certain amount of leads using various techniques. Chasing your prospecting goals every month will keep your mind off of worrying about the responses of particular prospects. It will also keep you in the mindset of doing activities that will cause your business to grow. Trust me. Set high goals and go after them. It works.

Doing the right things in your business beats saying the right things every day of the week. Developing the right habits and level of consistency will lead to massive results. To get additional tips on how to consistently get quality leads to practically beg you to join your downline, check this out. In the meantime, like Spike Lee would say, DO the right thing. :-)

If you are reading this post, you probably already know that video marketing is a great way to drive traffic to your websites, to build relationships with thousands of people almost automatically, and to brand yourself as a valuable leader to potential prospects. The question is, how should you structure a video that will best accomplish these goals? While there are many opinions on the elements of an effective video marketing presentation, here are a few things that you definitely want to keep in mind:

Keep it Short and Sweet: Do not make videos that are longer than 5 minutes long. The goal of the video is to attract prospects, but most people will not sit and watch a long video presentation, so make sure you stay on the topic and get to the point.

Give KILLER content: Make sure you deliver great information on in your messages, and be enthusiastic in your delivery so that the video is interesting and entertaining. The KEY to giving content is showing that even though what you covered is valuable and useful, every answer leads to more questions. For example, if you make a video about funded proposal marketing, even if you explain exactly what funded proposal marketing entails, there is still the question of how do I set up the necessary elements such as capture pages and auto-responders that will make the funded proposal marketing system work. Leave the viewer with additional questions. That’s a good thing.

Tell the viewer how to get additional answers: As I said, leaving the viewers with questions is a very good thing. This is because it gives you an opportunity to tell them that they can get additional answers by visiting your website for FREE information. Get it? It is the viewer’s desire to get additional information about a specific business or marketing topic that drives them to your website from your marketing presentation. In this way, you turn these viewers into TARGETED leads for your business, which is obviously very important.

So now you know the basic blueprint to use in order to structure your marketing videos. What are you waiting for? Get started, the more videos that you make and post online, the more traffic and exposure you will gain. Good luck in your marketing, and I wish you much success in your business.

If you have a website, blog, or capture page that you use to promote your business, you realize that generating online traffic to your page is extremely important. There are many techniques and strategies that successful marketers use to create leads for their websites, but one of the most effective of these is video marketing. There are several reasons why this type of marketing is so effective.

Websites such as YouTube have given people all over the world the opportunity to become famous, practically overnight! There are countless examples of people who have become household names due to an internet video clip going “viral”. The reason that this happens is because video allows you to become “real” to other people. It is not just information on a screen that they can ignore. You are now a person with a face and a voice. Your personality becomes available for others to connect to it. These are the same reasons that make this a fantastic way to market your online business.

As I’ve said many times before, people join and follow other people, they do not join opportunities. By posting marketing videos, you give yourself a chance to be followed by millions of people by leveraging the power of the internet.

Ok, so you want to start making effective marketing videos. What do you need to do? Obviously, the first thing that you will need is a get a video camera. Sites like ebay, craigslist, overstock.com, and others may present the opportunity to pick up a quality camera for a very affordable price. However, most electronic stores have suitable cameras that will work perfectly for this purpose. I would recommend a “shoot and share” type of digital camera that has a built-in USB connection so that the videos may easily be uploaded to your computer. You can easily find and buy such a camera for much less than $200. Also, you may want to invest in a tripod for the camera. I can attest that it comes in handy.

The next step is figuring out what you want to talk about in your videos. You do not need me to tell you that the content of your videos is very important. Many online and network marketers who start video marketing rush into posting videos online without really considering the message that they want to get across. Remember, you want your messages to be targeted to a very specific group of people. Your videos are not meant to appeal to everyone. They are meant to appeal to people who have the same interest in building a business and learning marketing strategies that you have. Trying to appeal to all types of people will mostly likely not be successful, but appealing to a specific group will quickly brand you as a leader within that group. Here are a few topics that you may want to use to get started:

Talk about your personal story in network marketing

Talk about a strategy that you have used successfully in your business

Talk about your something that you have read or seen that helped your mindset or motivated you to become successful.

However, NEVER just send out a video that just blatantly pitches your primary business without any kind of previous invitation. Your goal is to build a relationship with like-minded people. Once you have done that, concern yourself with providing them with a business opportunity. If you try to “pitch” to potential prospects before they see your value as a leader, you will sabotage the potential to create that relationship AND lose a potential lead.

The purpose of this post is to give you an “Insider’s Look” at Ambit Energy, various aspects of the company, and the business opportunity. If you are reviewing this, you may have heard some things about Ambit Energy and are trying to decide if the opportunity is something that you would like to pursue. On the other hand, perhaps you have never heard of Ambit Energy and want to learn more about the company. In this review, I will give an overview of the company and what they offer, review the compensation plan, review the executive leadership, and even give you some ideas of how to succeed with Ambit Energy or your current opportunity. So, let’s take a closer look at Ambit Energy.

What is the Opportunity?

Ambit Energy is taking advantage of the deregulation or break-up of the energy monopolies in the United States. Currently the company services various markets in Texas, New York, Illinois, Maryland and Pennsylvania. The United States energy market is currently being deregulated state by state and motivated individuals who recognize the opportunity to participate have the chance to create their own energy grid of residential and small commercial electricity and natural gas accounts. Ambit has plans for further expansion and offers a unique opportunity to market saving money and making money on a necessity, electricity and natural gas. The company offers very competitive rates overall and even a written guarantee savings in some markets. The company further offers travel incentives and energy cost credits to its customers for continued use of the service and referring others.

Who are the leaders of Ambit Energy?

Ambit Energy was co-founded by Jere Thompson and Chris Chambless in early 2006. Jere Thompson brings a tremendous amount of business experience and a history of success with him after having built hundred million dollar businesses prior to founding Ambit Energy. Jere Thompson also comes from a family of innovative successful entrepreneurs. His grandfather founded the Southland Corporation commonly known as 7/11 which has grown to the largest international franchise opportunity in the world.

Chris Chambless also has a proven track record for success. Prior to working with Ambit, Chris Chambless was the Executive Vice-President of Excel Communication, which was also a Network Marketing company and pioneered the deregulation of the Telecom Industry. Excel Communication’s was centered around residential long distance minutes and became the fastest company at that time ever listed on the New York Stock Exchange and achieved a billion in sales faster than any company in American business history. Ambit’s massive success was also documented by Inc. magazine. Ambit was recognized as the fastest growing privately held company in the United States for 2010 in the annual Inc. 500 issue.

So, how can I get paid? Show me the money Jason!

The backbone of Ambit Energy’s compensation plan is an upfront coded bonus. The coded bonus compensation plan is a proven compensation plan and is responsible for the largest monthly checks in the history of Network Marketing. What’s even more intriguing is that the company that created the largest checks and used the coded bonus plan was Excel Communications. This unlimited depth upfront coded bonus is this then backed by 2 residual income streams. The 1st residual income stream is tied to 6th levels of depth in your marketing organization. While the 2nd residual income stream is tied to leadership ranks and offers additional income as you achieve leadership positions within Ambit Energy’s compensation plan. The most exciting feature to this is that this 2nd residual income stream is paid to unlimited depth. If you understand compensation plans, then you can quickly see why Ambit Energy’s compensation plan is one of the most lucrative in the network marketing industry.

So, the real question is, “Jason, how can I benefit from all of this?”

At the end of the day, Ambit Energy is an opportunity in the network marketing industry. The company has assembled an extremely knowledgeable corporate team. They offer a “must have” service. They are positioned for the upswing of an expanding market. They also have a very generous compensation plan. With that being said, none of those things will make you a dime if you lack the will and tools to be successful. With Ambit Energy, your success is only tied to your ability to enroll and sponsor new people into your business who gather a handful of customers and help others to do the same.

As in any other network marketing opportunity, your success will be based on your ability to market and generate qualified leads. Therefore, I highly recommend anyone interested in creating a high level of income in Ambit Energy use traditional methods as well as an online lead generation system that will enhance their ability to bring in stream of leads. Ideally, you want to use a system that brings in these leads automatically, and allows you to make money even when the leads are not interested in your opportunity!

I hope this “Insider’s Look” at Ambit Energy was helpful. I wish you amazing success!

There are tons of distributors in the network marketing industry that work very hard to promote their opportunity to prospects. They feel that they are a part of an outstanding opportunity; and if they can only convince others to feel the same about the opportunity, then they will be able to build a profitable business. So these distributors spend precious time and effort attempting to “convince” people to join their opportunity or buy their products. They often times frustrate themselves by trying to “convince” people that are just not interested in their opportunity to be interested. They hassle their friends, family, and even strangers. The repeatedly call prospects over and over again with the hope that they will “see the light”. In short, they become VERY annoying!

As a productive networker, how can you avoid being the “annoying networker”? First, you must understand one crucial idea: It doesn’t matter what you think!

As a productive distributor, it is obvious how you feel about your particular opportunity. You saw it as extremely valuable and a vehicle to your financial freedom. That’s great, but unfortunately, not everyone else will see it as such and be as motivated as you to take advantage of it. This may be true for any number of reasons. Your job as a networker is not to worry about those that are not interested, it is to spend your time building relationships with those that are interested. As productive networkers, it is important for us to become very good at sorting through large numbers of individuals and finding out if they are someone who has an interest in our particular opportunity, product, or service. The truth of the matter is that some people will see value in the information that you are sharing and some will not. If you take “what you think” out of the equation and focus on the needs and thoughts of your prospects; you will eliminate your own frustration while cultivating relationships with like-minded individuals who will become business partners for you in the future.

The easiest way to accomplish this is by focusing on generating LOTS of leads. The more prospects that you have, the less you will be concerned if any one of these prospects does not show interest in your opportunity. It will also allow you to spend time focusing on those who are interested in what you have to share, and aren’t they the most important group of people to your business anyway?

P.S. If you want to learn how to get an endless stream of leads flowing into your business on autopilot, so you can spend more time cashing checks and less time being frustrated with your business, CLICK HERE NOW!

Many people who have been in the network marketing industry for any length of time have probably come across many people who have attempted to become successful at network marketing, but ended up giving up and leaving the industry. You may be that person yourself. However, upon closer examination, many network marketing opportunities fail their distributors and do not put them on a road that can easily lead to success.

Here are four things to look out for when choosing a network marketing opportunity to join.

1. How much training does it require to understand the product or service being marketed?

Many network marketing companies market a product or service that requires specialized training to understand and market effectively. The problem with that is that most new distributors will not take the time to go through this training process, perhaps because of a lack of time or desire. In either case, attempting to market a very specialized product or service could cause issues because it will be very difficult to maintain a level of educational duplication throughout your organization. SOLUTION: When choosing a network marketing opportunity, choose one that markets a product or service that everyone already knows and understands, and most preferably a product that everyone already uses.

2. How easy is the product or service to sell?

Make no mistake about it, network marketing requires selling a product or service, so you may as well get good at it. However, some network marketing companies have a product or service that may be considered a “specialty item”. Many times this type of product or service is not viewed as a necessity or will require the buyer to change her spending habits to purchase the product or service. Attempting to market this type of product or service may significantly cut down on your pool of potential customers, which can ultimately lead to selling failure and attrition within your organization. SOLUTION: Choose a network marketing company that markets a very universal product or service, preferably a product or service that people already have to buy and are buying. This way they are not having to develop a new buying habit; they are merely choosing your superior product or service.

3. Do I have to go on “autoship”??

If you have been in the network marketing industry for any length of time, then you are familiar with companies that require distributors to sign up to have products automatically shipped to them with the notion that these products will be used by the distributor personally or used as samples for marketing purposes. In reality, what tends to happen is that the distributor ends up with cases and cases of unused product in their homes. It’s only a matter of time before the distributor stops the “autoship”. This decreases sales and can lead to large attrition rates within companies that require this sort of “internal consumption” from their distributors. SOLUTION: Choose a network marketing company that does not rely on internal consumption to sell their product. Ideally, choose a company that markets a “fully consumable” product or service, meaning that the buyer MUST purchase again and again because the amount of product or service purchased is all used before the next shipment arrives. This type of repeat purchasing is the only way to generate a true residual income via network marketing, so this is a very important point to remember.

4. Can I Actually Make any MONEY??

This question is ultimately what any potential distributor wants to know. However, if you fail to find an opportunity that does not solve issues 1 through 3, then you will definitely run into a problem with issue #4. Network marketing can be a very powerful way to generate a substantial residual income, but it is crucial that you choose the correct company, the correct product or service, and the correct team to align yourself with. SOLUTION: When ultimately settling on a network marketing opportunity to join, make sure the product or service needs little or no additional training to understand, is easy to market, and is fully consumable. Ideally, it should be very competitively priced in the marketplace. Finding this type of organization will set you on a path to success and allow you to avoid the fate of so many distributors in the industry.

Everyone knows that Facebook is perhaps the most popular social networking site in the world today. With over 500 million active users worldwide, it is obvious that being able to get a voice to your target audience within this community will boost your visibility, drive traffic to your websites, and ultimately increase the success of your online marketing efforts. However, there is a definite wrong way to go about connecting to potential business partners and customers on Facebook.

If you have ever been active on Facebook, I’m sure that you have experienced opening your message inbox and seeing blasts of unsolicited spam emails that are promoting all types of products, services, and business opportunities. Aside from being annoying to most people, it is easy to see how a marketer’s message can get completely lost in endless sea of messages, spam, and unsolicited marketing pitches. The first thing to understand about Facebook is that even though there are over 500 million people are active on the site, the mass majority of them do not have any interest at all in what you have to offer. They may be totally content with just posting pictures to their friends, having random discussions about celebrity gossip, or winning at Mafia Wars. You do not want to spend any of your valuable time trying to convince these people that they should become a customer or a business partner of yours. Instead, focus on ways to send your message to niches within the Facebook community that will be much more interested in taking advantage of your opportunity.

One strategy that works well to accomplish this is by taking advantage of the “group” pages within the Facebook community. The “group” pages are niche pages within Facebook that people can join to connect with like-minded individuals and discuss all sorts of different topics. For the home-based business entrepreneur, there are group pages discussing network marketing, various business opportunities, and personal growth. Do several searches on Facebook and input any topic in which you may be interested. Chances are you will find a few groups that you think are relevant to your target market, and if you do not find one, you can start your own group page!

Once you have found a group page, be careful about the image that you portray to the group. Do not just send out posts and messages that are strictly promoting your opportunity or product. That is a common mistake that internet marketers make and it will get you nowhere. Furthermore, it can easily destroy your perceived credibility and value within the community. As the saying goes, you must give before you get. You should focus on giving valuable content in your posts and messages to the members of the groups that you are a part of. I stress that the content should be valuable. Allow others in the group to comment on your content and establish relationships with them. Once you have spent time building these relationships, then you will have ample opportunities to share information about your business opportunities and products. The key is staying patient and taking time to build fruitful relationships. As a network marketer, you should be committed to build your business for the long haul. Trust that your efforts will be rewarded! Good luck and I wish you great success in your business.

Thousands of people throughout the world spend time and effort in building businesses within various network marketing opportunities. The time that a person spends in lead generation for their business is most likely done because the networker believes in the business model and believes that the opportunity will exist for years to come. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee of how long a parent company will continue to function. Do not misunderstand me, this is not something to be feared, it is just a reality of business. As I have stated before, networkers are not looking for the best juice or supplement or magic device to market, they are looking for the best opportunity to earn increased cash flow. That’s it. That’s all. That said, it is crucially important as a networker that you use lead generation techniques — whether online or offline — that provide something that no juice or supplement or magic widget can provide: your personal brand and value as a leader.

If you use a company or a product as the centerpiece of your lead generation efforts, and something adverse happens to the company, then most, if not all, of the fruits of your past prospecting efforts might vanish. However, if you put yourself and your value as a skilled and knowledgeable networker at the centerpiece of your prospecting efforts, then if something adverse occurs with your parent company, you can simply move your knowledge, expertise, and most importantly your network into another suitable opportunity. Branding yourself as a leader and a valuable commodity is essential to success in the network marketing industry. When you establish and continue to enhance your brand, it makes more sense for others to want to partner with you, learn with you, and grow with you. The easiest way to enhance your personal brand is by continuing to learn different skills that will increase productivity as a networker and then being willing to teach those skills to others. It does not benefit you, or your bank account, to be a networker who is unwilling to share with others any information that you have found helpful in your career. It has been said many times before, but the more that you share and add value to your community of networkers, the more success you will enjoy in your business.

Networking marketing prospecting can be a very daunting task for those that are new to the industry. Because of the lack of proper marketing training for many new network marketers, these new marketers spend a tremendous amount of time and effort using prospecting techniques that simply will not yield successful results. To get out the cycle of failure and attrition that is the end for so many would-be network marketers, it is important that a new network marketer get in the habit of concentrating on continuous self-development.

Once you know that success in your prospecting efforts is largely due to how your prospects view you, then you will fully understand that attracting prospects consistently requires those prospects to see you as valuable. As a network marketer, you become valuable by learning, and then teaching. Take time daily to learn a different technique, tactic, or strategy on the subject of network marketing. Maybe you will learn something on the subject of mindset, or perhaps you will learn a new marketing strategy. However, make it a habit to learn one thing daily. As you begin to learn more and more information, be willing to share that information with others who would benefit from the information, particularly other network marketers. The truth of the matter is that many network marketers do not have much knowledge in network marketing prospecting strategies, and it would help them greatly if they could look to you as a source of knowledge. This is the perfect opportunity for you to show your value to potential prospects. As you continue to share the information with your potential prospects via videos, blogs, articles, and other methods, you will develop relationships with your following and be able to brand yourself as a leader in the process.

Remember, your network marketing prospecting efforts start with building yourself first. In the process of building yourself, you will become someone that others would want to work with by default. Any potential prospect will ultimately judge you before they even consider your network marketing opportunity. Because this is true, it is vital that you are able to follow and learn from by learning new strategies, techniques, and tips. You must also develop the proper mindset through training. All of these things will help you build your business, but will also allow you to teach others and duplicate these actions throughout your organization. Remember, learn, then teach, then profit.

Good luck!! I wish you much success in your business.
